Welcome to the 2021 Folio: Eddie & Ozzie Awards!

The Folio: Eddie & Ozzie Awards is the most prestigious recognition program in the publishing community, recognizing excellence in editorial content and design across print and digital media. The Eddie & Ozzie Awards, are recognized industry-wide, recieving applications in the thousands in year from publications around the globe.

Categories range in topics from articles, essays and full issue magazine, to blogs, podcasts and video content to cover design, graphic design, illustration, photography and more.

There’s a place in the spotlight for every digital publication, magazine, regional title, association and brand—if you’re producing content, there’s a place in the spotlight for you in the Eddie & Ozzie Awards.

Awards Gala Event Safety

It’s Safest to Meet in NYC! – New York City requires that all Folio: Eddie & Ozzie Award attendees show proof of vaccination. You will be required to show proof of vaccination when you pick up your badge at the event along with your photo ID.

Eligible proof of vaccination includes:

  • A photo or hard copy of your vaccination card
  • NYC COVID Safe App
  • New York State Excelsior App

If you no longer have a record of your vaccination, contact your State/Local Health Department. If you are currently registered for the event but are not vaccinated, please contact Trish Borrelli at tborrelli@accessintel.com. Additional Event Safety-What to Expect at the 2021 Gala

  • Masks to be worn when not seated/consuming food & beverage – exceptions include hosts and speakers on stage distanced from the audience as well as photo ops in a designated area.
  • Tables reduced from seating for 10 and 12 to seating for 8 and 10
  • Hand sanitizer available and encouraged
  • Increased frequency of cleaning and sanitizing throughout the venue

The Metropolitan Pavilion is a member of the Banquet Events Strategic Taskforce (B.E.S.T.), which is comprised of event industry professionals representing all aspects of events from an operational standpoint. Its members include owners, general managers, and directors of food and beverage, catering, and housekeeping of the top 30 venues and hotels in New York City. The members of B.E.S.T. have also consulted our valued creative partners including but not limited to audio/visual and entertainment technology providers, caterers, design & décor companies, event planners, security firms, and rental companies.

FAQ

All publications and websites are eligible—association/non-profit, b2b, city & regional, consumer and custom/content marketing publications. The competition is organized so that brands compete within a group of their peers. The Eddies are categorized by topic/market, and the Ozzies are categorized by publication type and readership size. If you’re unsure of what category to select, you can read our classification guidelines or contact Trish Borrelli tborrelli@accessintel.com for assistance. International entries are welcome!

Any content published between May 1, 2020 and May 31, 2021 is eligible.

FRIDAY, JUNE 11 – EARLY DEADLINE
FRIDAY, JULY 9 – EXTENDED DEADLINE*

$250 for your first Eddie entry, $245 for each additional Eddie entry through June 11, 2021.
$250 for your first Ozzie entry, $245 for each additional Ozzie entry through June 11, 2021.
First entry fees for both the Eddies and Ozzies increase to $275 June 12 through July 9, 2021.

*$75 Late fee applies to all entries submitted after the standard deadline of July 9, 2021.
Note: Award entry fees are non-refundable.

Entries are judged by an independent panel of media executives, as well as by the staff of Folio:. We evaluate your entry based on creativity and innovation. Our most important criterion is proven success in aligning your brand’s mission with the end product.

Your mission statement/editorial statement of purpose should be a brief statement that tells our judges a little bit about your publication, the audience you serve and how your team goes about serving that audience.

Finalists will be notified by September 3, 2021.
