Former Quebecor senior corporate executive Christopher Shannon has joined media bankers Berkery Noyes as managing director. In this new position Shannon will provide strategic mergers and acquisitions advice to U.S. and international print and electronic media clients.
He has also worked for media companies Hachette Filipacchi, Bauer Publishing and Readers’ Digest/Ripplewood.
Robert S. Acquaye has been named circulation director for Johnson Publishing Company, parent company of EBONY and JET magazines. Acquaye was most recently vice president and director of circulation for Black Enterprise magazine.
Blair Hecht Schlumbom has been named associate publisher/advertising of Gourmet magazine. She succeeds Thomas H. Hartman who as named VP and publisher of the magazine in March.
ALM’s Real Estate Media Division has appointed Joseph Colacova to associate publisher for Real Estate New Jersey.

Gary Kleinman has been promoted to vice president, associate publisher for TV Guide magazine He was most recently vice president, national advertising director. Christy Tanner has been promoted to vice president, marketing and Online Network Development for TVGuide.com. Tanner joined the company last year as marketing director.
The Hollywood Reporter has hired Rose Einstein for the newly created role of vice president, associate publisher. Most recently, Einstein was vice president, advertising sales for Netflix. Prior to that, she spent more than 25 years with Reed Business Information.
Greenspun Media Group has named John Katsilometes writer-at-large. Katsilometes will be contributing to Las Vegas Life magazine, Las Vegas Weekly and the company’s new Interactive Media department. His daily blog, Fabulous Las Vegas, is featured on the Las Vegas Weekly site, www.lasvegasweekly.com.
