Time Inc. names new EVP of business development and more...
Time Inc. has named Erik Moreno their executive vice president, business development, a newly created position. Moreno joins the company from Fox Networks Group, a unit of 21st Century Fox, where he was senior vice president, corporate development. Jonathan Woods becomes supervising producer, TIME video. In his new role, he’ll oversee video programming and production for TIME across all platforms. Dan Macsai becomes assistant managing editor.
Mia Tramz, who joined Time Inc. in 2013, is promoted to senior editor, multimedia. Jake Davidson joins TIME as news editor. Davidson joins from Money where he was a reporter. Before that he was a TIME intern.
Mathew Katz joins TIME as news editor. Previously, he was a reporter and then an editor at the local New York City news website DNAinfo and a reporter for public radio station KDNK in Western Colorado. Julia Ryan joins TIME as an associate audience engagement editor. She was an editorial web fellow at The Atlantic and an education stringer at Bloomberg News.
Additionally, Tanya Basu joins TIME as a breaking news reporter. Basu was an editorial fellow at The Atlantic and worked as a stringer for Reuters at the White House. Tanya reports on social science research and trends as a member of TIME’s Health team.

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that it has added five new staff to its roster, bolstering its editorial and social media teams. Peter Flax, who was previously editor in chief at Bicycling Magazine has been named features editor; Dan Fienberg, former executive editor of HitFix.com, will serve as TV critic providing reviews and TV coverage; Ryan Parker, a reporter from The Los Angeles Times who covered breaking news on both the state and national level, joins as staff editor; Mia Galuppo, a former HelloGiggles contributor, rounds out the editorial additions as a staff writer focusing on film. New social media manager Jen Liles comes from E! Entertainment.
Ashley Bolding has been named director of event operations for Atlantic Media’s Government Executive Media Group. Bolding joins GEMG from AtlanticLIVE, the events division of The Atlantic, an Atlantic Media brand.
Nick Jaynes has been named transportation tech reporter at Mashable. He’d been automotive editor at Digital Trends.
Anna Maltby has been named director, health and wellness, at Refinery29. She had been fitness editor at Fit Pregnancy and Natural Health.
Robin Wilson has been named COO at Upworthy. She had been vice president, operations, there.
