Reuters announces several additions to the editorial team: Geraldine Fabrikant as a columnist, Jonathan Weber as West Coast bureau chief and Bethany McLean as a columnist. Fabrikant comes from The New York Times as a media reporter, Weber comes from The Bay Citizen as editor-in-chief and McLean will continue to serve as contributing editor at Vanity Fair in addition to writing for Reuters.
FITNESS Magazine announces Andrea Rogan as associate publisher. Rogan most recently served as corporate sales director for Meredith Corporation, FITNESS magazine’s publisher.
Diane Malloy, former VP sales/associate publisher for Women’s Health, joins Ladies’ Home Journal as publisher.
At Digiday, Jack Marshall is named mobile reporter. Marshall was previously a reporter for ClickZ.
Maureen Polo is now marketing services business development director at Hearst Integrated Media. She most recently comes from Meredith Corporation where she was managing director of Meredith 360. Polo will be serving as a liaison between Hearst and iCrossing.
Cella Irvine, former CEO of The New York Times Company’s About Group, joins Vibrant Media as chief executive officer.
Wayne Madden is now vice president of sales development at Penton Media. Previously, Madden was market leader for the Digital Media Market Sector.
At Yahoo! News, Scott Ard is named editor. He comes from CNET where he served as editor-in-chief.
Time Inc. appoints Nancy Gibbs as deputy managing editor of TIME Magazine. She recently served as executive editor at the publication.
Reader’s Digest announces Jan Studin as VP, publisher of the Taste of Home brand. Studin will oversee all Taste of Home platforms and will be based in New York City.
Brides magazine welcomes Anne Fulenwider as editor-in-chief. Fulenwider formerly served as an executive editor for Marie Claire.
At Barron’s there has been several adjustments to the staffing. Fleming Meeks, former editor of the Daily Stock Alert, is now executive editor of Barron’s. Phil Roosevelt, former assistant managing editor, is now deputy managing editor. Also, Richard C. Morais joins the publication as a contributing editor. Morais will write stories on a regular basis on Barrons.com. Lawrence Strauss will be writing the CEO Spotlight. He comes from writing the weekly investment interview on Barrons.com.
Also at Barron’s, Beverly Goodman has been named mutual-fund editor. Goodman recently served as the managing editor of Fidelity.com. Goodman will replace Tom Sullivan, who will now be writing corporate features. Miriam Gottfried, former reporter for Barrons.com, is now a staff writer at Barron’s.
At Marie Claire, Joyce M. Chang is named executive editor. She comes from People StyleWatch, where she was deputy editor. Geraldine Sealey is now an editor-at-large with the women’s magazine, joining Marie Claire from Whole Living, where she acted as deputy editor, features. Former MC deputy editor Lea Goldman is promoted to features editor.
