Editor and Publisher
Tony Silber is editor and publisher of Folio: and Circulation Management. He was part of the acquisition team at Red 7 Media, which purchased Folio:, CM, and their related products in August 2004.
Before the acquisition, Silber launched M10, the executive-level magazine and information service for the magazine industry. M10 published its first print magazine;which was greeted with the acclaim of the industry;in June 2003. Prior to M10, Silber was publisher of Folio: and Circulation Management under the Primedia umbrella, where he developed a variety of new information products for those franchises. Silber was also editor of Folio: from 1998-2000.
Before Folio:, Silber served as executive editor of Internet World. He started his career as a press secretary in the New York State Senate, and also worked as a reporter and editor at a daily newspaper in Connecticut. Silber recently concluded a term as chairman of the American Business Press Publisher’s Committee. He has a bachelor’s degree in history from the State University of New York at Albany.
Matthew K. Kinsman first joined Red 7 Media as senior editor of M10 Report in the fall of 2003. Working side by side with industry vet Tony Silber, Matt helped build M10 into one of the industry’s must-reads. He was promoted to managing editor of Folio: in September 2004 and currently helps direct the editorial vision of the magazine and its related Web site and conferences. Prior to joining Red 7, Matt spend several years with Primedia’s trade pub group working as a features editor of PROMO Magazine.
Prior to that Matt served as the founding editor of MIN’s B-to-B and before that worked on a variety of niche newsletters and market research projects.
Bill Mickey is senior editor of Folio: magazine. Prior to joining Folio:, Bill was editor of EContent, where he was instrumental in relaunching the 30-year old publication covering the digital content industry. Before that, Bill was editor of Online, a trade publication serving information professionals in the online database and electronic information industry. He has held a variety of editorial roles in magazine publishing for over ten years. Bill has a BA in English from Hartwick College.
Dylan Stableford is senior editor for Folio: magazine and news editor for the Folio:M10 Alert. He began his professional journalism career in 2000 as a reporter and editor for MTV News and its affiliate Web sites MTV.com, VH1.com, Sonicnet and Addicted to Noise. He has also served as an associate producer for the A&E’s Biography, the Biography Channel and senior editor for Biography.com, as well as a brief stint as an associate producer for The Howard Stern Show on E!. Stableford is currently an instructor for Mediabistro’s Humor Writing for Journalists class.
Special Projects Editor
Phil Hall began his journalism career as a United Nations correspondent for Fairchild Broadcast News. His writing has appeared in the New York Times, Wired Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Hartford Courant, Kirkus Reviews, Home Office Computing and numerous business, technology and cultural publications around the world. He is a contributing editor for the online magazine Film Threat, the book editor for the weekly New York Resident newspaper, a member of the Governing Committee of the Online Film Critics Society and a judge for the Publishers Marketing Association’s annual Benjamin Franklin Awards.
Phil is also the author of "The Encyclopedia of Underground Movies" and the upcoming book "Independent Film Distribution."
Associate Art Director
Paola DiMeglio is Associate Art Director of Folio: magazine. Paola graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Graphic Design from Western Connecticut State University. Prior to Folio:, Paola started as a Production Artist and then quickly moved up to Production Supervisor overseeing a staff of 10 in the art department of a small publishing company.
Gina Gavish is the Advertising Director for Folio: and Circulation Management magazines. Gina was the former publisher of Party & Paper Retailer magazine, a trade magazine targeting the party/stationery industry. She began as an Advertising Sales Rep in 1986. In 1992, she added the responsibilities of Associate Publisher, and then became publisher in 1998. Gina graduated with an MS from Georgetown University and a BA from Washington University in St. Louis.
Directory Sales Manager
Karen Putrimas is the Directory Advertising Sales Manager for Folio: and Circulation Management. Karen brings nineteen years of advertising experience to Red 7 Media from Primedia; where in addition to Folio: and CM she also held the responsibility of directory advertising for American Demographics magazine. Karen is a graduate of Traphagen School of Design.
Jennel joined Red 7 Media as director of marketing in early 2004. She currently spearheads all marketing and branding initiatives for the company across its three magazine franchises. Jennel also oversees our Creative Services group, which handles a slew of custom publishing initiatives for a growing stable of Red 7 clients.
Jennel began her career at Time Warner, handling work on Coastal Living and Weight Watchers magazines. She then moved to Time Warner’s book division, Oxmoor House, where she executed promotions and marketing for various titles, including Cooking Light, Martha Stewart, and Southern Living.
In 2000, she relocated to Boston for a job with start-up Internet magazine, Access. There, she worked on launching the publication and its Web site, along with related collateral development. In 2002, she landed at Soundings Publications, heading up marketing of their fleet of consumer and b-to-b nautical magazines. She held that post for two years before joining Red 7 Media. She is a graduate of Auburn and holds an MBA in Marketing.
Amy has been in the events industry for 9 years focusing on Marketing, Sponsorships, Logistics, and Conference Management for smaller events with revenues of $200,000 to huge multi-million dollar tradeshows. Her career began as Associate Manager of PR & Events at a small publishing company working for two of their major events in the collectibles industry. From their Amy went on to work on Investment Expo showcasing the latest investment strategies and trends. As Director of Marketing & Events, Amy worked with top level financial companies and recruited speakers including, Robert Kiyosaki, Author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, Maria Bartiromo, Suze Orman and John Bogle. After leaving Investment Expo, Amy went on to be Marketing Director for Reed Exhibitions working on one of their largest events, National Manufacturing Week with 1,100 exhibitors and 30,000 attendees.
Amy has a BA in Journalism and Public Relations from Monmouth University where she worked for local papers, Amy had interviewed Phil Rizzuto when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Amy lives in New York City and volunteers for the New York Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Kerry founded Red 7 Media, LLC in 2002 after a 7-year stint at Primedia, Inc. where he ran a group of 8 business-to-business magazines including American Demographics, PROMO, Corporate Meetings & Incentives and others. Prior to his joining Primedia, Kerry and his father ran their own publishing company which they started in 1987 and sold to Cowles Business Media in 1996. Kerry’s passion is creating and launching quality information products that serve niche markets and surrounding himself with talented, passionate teammates who excel at bringing them to life and serving their markets.
