Ann Marinovich is VP, advertising products and strategy of Forbes Media. She is responsible for leading the company’s digital, mobile, native, and print advertising products and strategy across Forbes’ integrated product line.
Marinovich uses her passion for advertising and data to build first-to-market, innovative ad products for marketers to engage the Forbes audience. She is tasked with tackling some of the biggest challenges facing the media industry today for Forbes. One example is mobile. Over 50 percent of Forbes.com’s audience is coming to the site each month from a mobile device. While Forbes is making real progress in closing the gap between mobile traffic and revenue, like most publishers, mobile currently represents a small part of the company’s overall revenue.
Under her leadership, however, mobile revenue at Forbes increased 130% in 2015. This was accomplished by the introduction of new premium mobile ad products, which have increased CPMs and sell through rates. Marinovich was named to Mobile Marketer’s 2016 “Mobile Women to Watch List,” a list of the top 25 women who are in charge of leading mobile-driven opportunities and overcoming these challenges.
Marinovich has quickly become an industry leader in native advertising. She was recently named co-chair of the Native Advertising/Custom Content Committee at the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB). In this role, Marinovich is creating standards and best practices for the media industry for one of the fastest-growing segments of digital advertising.
