Bonnie Kintzer is a seasoned media industry visionary and strategist, with more than 20 years of experience focused on growing and building organizations and brands. She originally worked at Trusted Media Brands, Inc. (formerly known as Reader’s Digest Association) from 1998 to 2007, where she held a number of senior executive positions and was responsible for the company's largest publishing and digital properties.
She returned to TMBI in 2014 as CEO and it has been a successful two years for her and the company, as she has been a champion for its growth, innovation, and digital expansion. Since rejoining, Kintzer has demonstrated digital leadership, innovative product extensions and a clear understanding of how to drive the company forward to success.
Kintzer is a collaborator. She has emphasized a strong and open relationship with her employees. When she first returned to the company, she held individual meetings with more than 100 of TMBI’s top colleagues—asking them where the company can innovate and expand digitally and how to leverage 100 years’ worth of content. She regularly holds companywide town hall meetings, made substantial organization changes, is investing in top notch senior talent and has made it known to that TMBI is growing quite rapidly.
This past September, she led the privately-held company through a major name change and rebranding, changing the name to Trusted Media Brands to battle the common assumption in the marketplace that it only publishes Reader’s Digest magazine. The magazine has a circulation of 3 million, RD.com has 47 million UMVs and a vast social media following on Facebook (2.6 million), Instagram (85,000) and Twitter (84,000).
