Condé Nast Promotions Follow Restructuring
Executive-level moves at Portfolio, Vogue.
It didn’t take Condé Nast’s David Carey and Tom Florio long to make major management changes after their respective promotions were announced last week.
Carey has named William Li as publisher of Condé Nast Portfolio. Most recently, Li was publisher of Men’s Vogue. Li’s replacement at Men’s Vogue has not been named yet, a Condé Nast spokesperson tells FOLIO:.
At Vogue, Florio has promoted associate publisher Connie Anne Phillips to the newly created position of managing director. She will oversee sales, marketing and creative services departments and run Vogue’s day-to-day business operations. Laura McEwen replaces Phillips as associate publisher.
Last week, Condé Nast announced an executive personnel restructuring, including the naming of three senior vice presidents. As part of that restructuring, Carey’s post as Condé Nast Publications’ group president and publishing director was expanded to include Wired Media and the company’s Golf Digest Group. Florio was named senior vice president and publishing director of Vogue, Men’s Vogue and Vogue Living.
