Karlene Lukovitz, vice president of communications for BPA Worldwide since 2003, announced today she is leaving that agency to set up an editorial and consulting firm for print and electronic media companies.
Lukovitz is a well-known figure in the magazine industry, particularly in circulation circles. She served as the high-profile editor of Circulation Management for many years and launched the Circulation Management Conference & Expo in the early nineties. (Circulation Management is owned by Red 7 Media, which also owns this newsletter.)
Lukovitz’s company, KL MediaLink LLC will provide multimedia content development, brand-extension development, strategic-positioning services, and independent editorial content to consumer and b-to-b magazines and custom publishers.
"The integrated media transformation underway makes this a particularly exciting and challenging time for the industry and a highly compelling time to realize a long-time ambition of applying my journalism, media, new-product development and marketing experience in an entrepreneurial mode," Lukovitz said in a statement. The company is based in Wilton, Connecticut and online at klmedialink.com.
