Tina Johnson has been chosen as the new editor-in-chief of ESPNw. ESPNw, the company’s new digital outreach, is intended for the over 18 female demographic who would like to stay involved in competitive sports after formal education ends. Johnson was founding editor of the Women’s Health for Rodale until she left the magazine in 2008.
While it’s probably not surprising given the buzz around the launch of News Corp.’s tablet-only publication, The Daily is currently #1 in “Top Apps” and #1 in “News Apps,” according to topappcharts.com.
