ALM—publisher of the American Lawyer, Corporate Counsel and other legal and business media—has launched an online video production and distribution service called Legal Channels as part of a partnership with media company LegalTalkNetwork.
The fee-based service allows law firms and corporate advertisers to create broadcast-quality videos to be distributed on ALM’s Law.com, the LegalTalkNetwork Web site and the recently launched YouTube Legal Channel.
According to an ALM spokesperson, the business advantage for ALM is in coupling production and distribution in a highly targeted way. LegalTalkNetwork—a company developed by former CBS employees—produces audio and video for its Web site, iTunes and other podcast portals.
