Townsquare Media Buys 4 Events
Deal adds to the company’s massive events portfolio.
Townsquare Media strengthened its already massive events portfolio with the acquisition of a group of events from Connecticut Expos.
Terms weren’t disclosed, but the deal includes the Fairfield County Home & Outdoor Living Expo, along with three regional women’s expos.
Corporate Solutions was advisor to Connecticut Expos in the deal.
It’s a return to roots, of sorts, for Townsquare which has aggressively expanded its content production business with a series of acquisitions since 2013, including the purchase of XXL 6 months ago. The company has about a dozen digital publications, and more than 300 “search engine and mobile optimized local websites.”
Townsquare’s central positions remain in live events and radio however, with about 500 consumer-focused shows and 311 radio stations across 66 markets in the U.S.
