The 15 Best Covers of 2015
Our editorial team spends a lot of time looking at, and discussing magazine covers all year long. I also personally spend a lot of time chatting with design professionals around the industry on their work or the work of their peers. This has, by no means, given me any sort of expertise on cover design, but it has made me pretty opinionated.
So with that in mind, I decided to showcase the covers that stood out to me this year. There is no real methodology here, meaning it’s not based on newsstand sales or sell-through rates, awards, or any academic principals in design. Ultimately, it’s the covers I think were the best because they either made me chuckle, say “whoa” or just impressed me with their design and composition.
You may agree with some and totally disagree with others, but keep in mind: It’s all subjective. So here they are, in no particular order or ranking—quite simply, the 15 best covers of 2015… as I see it.
