Though the EXCEL award ceremony takes place on June 1 in Washington, D.C., Association Media & Publishing has already announced the 2011 winners. The 31st Annual EXCEL winners were picked from a pool of 1,100 entries submitted from non-profit organizations and associations.

National Geographic Global Media CEO to Take on President Role at Society

One week after John Q. Griffin announced that he is retiring as executive vice president of the National Geographic Society and president of its publishing unit, board of trustees chairman Gilbert M. Grosvenor says he is stepping down as chairman at the end of the year.
