The 17th Annual ESSENCE Music Festival

The 17th annual ESSENCE Music Festival hosted more than 422,000 attendees, who gathered in New Orleans over the July 4th Weekend for three days of music, empowerment and community events. This year's Festival celebrated "The Roots of R&B" with nighttime concerts at the newly renovated Louisiana Superdome, which featured the hottest acts including: Usher, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, New Edition, Jill Scott, Boyz II Men, Jennifer Hudson, Trey Songz and more. The Festival also delivered a "Weekend of Transformation" via the ESSENCE Empowerment Experience, which featured daily panels, keynotes and presentations at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Panelists included: Steve Harvey, Tavis Smiley, Dr. Cornel West, Soledad O'Brien, Iyanla Vanzant, Terry McMillan and more. The ESSENCE Music Festival is the nation's largest annual African-American cultural event and continues to be a hallmark of New Orleans tourism.

Hearst Advertiser Reception

On June 27, Hearst hosted an advertiser reception to toast the newest additions to the Hearst portfolio of brands (ELLE, ELLE Decor, Car and Driver, Road & Track, Woman's Day). The event had a summertime theme, with spiked limeade and sangria.

The 29th Annual Food + Wine Classic

Food + Wine hosted its 29th annual Food + Wine Classic in Aspen from June 17-19. For three days, the stellar line-up of culinary masters and wine connoisseurs shared trade secrets and techniques with 5,000 foodies and oenophiles at over 80 cooking and wine seminars.

The Second Annual "Prevention Honors Hollywood Heroes" Event

On June 21st, Prevention hosted its second annual "Prevention Honors Hollywood Heroes" event at the Sunset Tower Hotel, celebrating remarkable women committed to making a world of difference. The event honored Emmy and Tony-Award winner Kristin Chenoweth on behalf of Maddie's Corner; Emmy Award-winner and Golden Globe nominee Marg Helgenberger on behalf of The Race to Erase MS; Holly Robinson Peete on behalf of the HollyRod Foundation and the late Laura Ziskin on behalf of Standup 2 Cancer.

The Inaugural Atlanta Food & Wine Festival

The inaugural Atlanta Food & Wine festival was presented by Food & Wine and Travel + Leisure from May 19 to May 22. The event is the first luxury festival dedicated to showcasing food and beverage traditions in the Southern region. Barbecue pit masters, award-winning chefs and mixologists, sommeliers, fry cooks and local growers of Southern heritage gathered to celebrate and honor the culture of Southern cuisine.

Scholastic Parent & Child Family of the Year Event

Real-life husband and wife William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman joined forces with the National Milk Mustache "got Milk?" campaign and Scholastic Parent & Child magazine on Monday, March 23, to celebrate the second annual "Family of the Year" initiative.

As celebrity ambassadors for "Family of the Year," Macy and Huffman unveiled their "got Milk?" Milk Mustache ad at Zimmer Children's Museum in Los Angeels.
