Patricia Walsh has been named vice president of communications and marketing for The McGraw-Hill Companies’ Information & Media segment. This group includes properties including J.D. Power and Associates, BusinessWeek and ABC-affiliated televisions stations throughout the country.
Specialist Marketing Services, Inc. has hired Victor D’Amico as account director in the company’s list management division.
John McCormick, editor of Baseline, to editorial director of both Baseline and CIO Insight at Ziff Davis. McCormick will be replacing current editor of CIO Insight, Ed Baker, who will be leaving the publication in September.
Theodore Alpert has joined Advanstar Inc. as vice president finance and chief financial officer.
Tom Kuczynski has been named senior vice president of corporate development & planning for VNU Business Media. Kuczynski will lead corporate development efforts for acquisitions, co-ventures and new business development. Kuczynski was previously managing director at The Pareto Group, a media advisory firm where he worked in concert with newly named VNU Business CEO Robert Krakoff in pursuing media opportunities with The Blackstone Group, one of VNU’s investors.
Robert Vosper has been named editor in chief of InsideCounsel. He will be responsible for all editorial content for the month publication, Web site, e-newsletters and conferences. Prior to joining InsideCounsel, Vosper was managing editor of Telecom Business.

Martha Leibs, production director, will be responsible for leading the production plan and providing direction on all the publications.
Jessica Fidgeon, account supervisor, will be responsible for overseeing Fidelity Investments’ custom publications and managing the day-to-day relationship for Fidelity and other clients.
Meghan Abrams, account manager, will be responsible for managing the day-to-day custom publishing activities for Boston Society of Architects, Fidelity Investments, UAW-GM Center for Human Resources, and UAW-DC National Training Center. Katherine Demmon, account coordinator, will assist the editorial process and manage the accounts for Bloom, Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, Fidelity Investments, and Vacation.com.
Jennifer Anderson, project manager, will spearhead the management of company workflow and resource deployment.
Nicole Baggetta, operations manager, will manage a variety of operations duties, including overseeing administration, being the day-to-day contact for IT-related communication, as well as training new staff on company policy and procedure and IT systems.
