Time Inc. has promoted Jim Kelly to managing editor, a newly created position. The former managzing editor of Time will manage areas such as standards, practices and ethics for the company and will be replaced by Richard Stengel, who will serve as the magazine’s 16th managing editor since its launch in 1923.
