Erin Geiger Smith, previously an editor with Business Insider, is now an editor and reporter with the legal team at Reuters.
National Journal moves: Ethan Klapper will become online editor in May. Currently, Klapper is a social media intern with the publication. Lori Santos, previously managing editor of national security, is now managing editor for breaking news.
Taunton Press has appointed two new editorial directors. Maria Taylor, recently vice president/editorial director for books and DVDs, is now vice president/editorial director of cooking and crafts. Anatole Burkin is now vice president/editorial director of homebuilding, woodworking and gardening. Previously, Burkin acted as VP/digital content director.
Yolanda Edwards has been named editor-at-large of Martha Stewart Living. Edwards most recently cofounded Momfilter, the lifestyle Web site for parents.
Janell Ross is now a business reporter with The Huffington Post; previously, she acted as an immigration, race and social issues reporter for The Tennessean.
Virginia Heffernan is now an op-ed writer for The New York Times. Heffernan is a co-author of The Underminer.

James Russell, who has written for The Huffington Post and Campus Progress, is now part-time associate editor with Truthout.
Bloomberg News update: David E. Rovella, previously the U.S. legal team leader, is now the deputy managing editor for global legal news. Michael Hytha, who acted as editor for U.S. legal news, is now the U.S. legal team leader. John Pickering is now the U.S. bankruptcy team leader; formerly, Pickering was the deputy team leader for U.S. legal news. Matt Merkin is now integrated account manager with the magazine; previously, he worked with Bloomberg Law, managing sales efforts for business intelligence products and legal research. Keri Bernstein has been named digital account executive. Bernstein comes from the Wall Street Journal, where she worked in digital network accounts.
Elizabeth Stamp, former associate digital editor with Elle Décor, is now senior digital editor with Architectural Digest.
