Wendy Goodman has been named design director of Conde Nast’s House & Garden. She was most recently with New York magazine where she was interior design editor for ten years.
King Fish Media has named Gordon Plutsky director of marketing and research, a newly created position where Plustsky will be responsible for building band communication the King Fish Brand and will be launching King Fish Research in the coming months.
Active Interest Media has made a number of hires and promotions this week. Formerly of EMAP USA, Bill Harper has been hired to serve as group publisher of Yoga Journal and Vegetarian Times. In addition, Susan McNamee has been promoted from group publisher of the Healthy Living Group to vice president and group publisher of the company’s custom publishing division. Joanna Shirk, former director of retail sales for Better Nutrition, has been named publisher of the title. Celine Bleu has been hired to serve as marketing director of the Healthy Living Group. She was most recently director of partner marketing at Dwell. Jennifer Berghold, former associate media director of Optimedia, takes on the role of online sales and marketing director at AIM.
Former Wall Street Journal ad sales manager Dana Ulman has joined the staff at South Florida Adventures magazine.
BPA Worldwide appointed three directors to its board during its December meeting, the company said Friday. The three will stand for regular election at the Shelton, Connecticut-based media auditor’s membership meeting in May.
