Wizard Entertainment has named Scott Gramling editor-in-chief of its four publications Wizard, InQuest Gamer, ToyFare and Anime Insider, as well as the Web side wizarduniverse.com and the Wizard World Tour event. Gramling was most recently sections editor and deputy editor at the recently folded title FHM.
Hanley Wood Business Media has hired AOL’s former vice president of marketing, Andreas Schmidt to head up its newly reorganized electronics media group. In his new position, Schmidt will be responsible for the online sites for Hanley Wood’s business-to-business magazines, newsletters and other products, such as ebuild, its job boards and contractor club.
Michael Martin has been promoted to associate publisher and editor of TED: The Electrical Distributor magazine. Martin has been with the National Association of Electrical Distributors since 1998 and has been editor since 2000.
Interweave Press has hired Bob Kaslik as vice president of consumer marketing for the company. He will oversee subscription and newsstand consumer marketing efforts for Interweave’s 14 titles.
