Advertising Age has named Chris Crain as associate publisher of Creativity Magazine. Beginning January 14, Crain will be responsible for management of the magazine and the continued development of new vertical online communities for the Ad Age Group. Since 2005, Crain had served as associate publisher of Crain’s Detroit Business.
Aviva Belsky has been promoted to publisher of Dowden Health Media’s Contemporary Surgery. Belsky joined the group in 2003 and in November was moved to associate publisher of the professional division.
Dominion Enterprise’s PassageMaker magazine has named John Wooldridge as executive editor. With three decades in the marine field, Wooldridge previously was managing editor of Yachting and Motor Boating magazines.
Nevada Magazine has announced a number of personnel changes. Joyce Hollister was named publishers, former production manager Tony DeRonnebeck has been named production manager and Matt Brown has moved from associate editor to editor. Charlie Johnston takes Brown’s position as associate editor.
Montana State University has named Carol Schmidt as editor of the school’s Mountains and Minds magazine. Also, Tracy Ellig has been named director of the school’s MSU News Service, replacing Annette Trinity-Stevens, who died in March.
The National Electronic Contractors Association has named Ed Brown as managing editor of its Security + Life Safety Systems magazine. Most recently Brown was managing editor of necdigest, a publication of the National Fire Protection Association.
Former national account manager for the Wall Street Journal U.S. Hispanic edition, Nancy Rosado has been named national advertising director of Un Chin, a Latino-owned lifestyle magazine targeting a cross-gender and bi-cultural readership.
