Hachette Filipacchi hired Kevin Martinez as vice president and brand publisher of ELLE. Martinez joins HFM U.S. from Harper’s Bazaar, where he served as associate publisher. He received the "Mentor of the Year" award in 2008 from the Magazine Publishers Association. He will report to Robin Domeniconi, who recently joined Hachette as senior vice president and chief brand officer for the ELLE Group.
Ron Fournier joins Atlantic Media’s National Journal Group as editor-in-chief. Fournier is a 20-year veteran of Associated Press and most recently served as AP’s Washington D.C. bureau chief. He is a winner of the Society of Professional Journalist’ Sigma Delta Chi Award as well as a four-time recipient of the White House Correspondents Association Merriman Smith award.
Summit Business Media promoted John Sullivan to editor-in-chief of Investment Advisor Magazine. Sullivan is former editor of Boomer Market Advisor.
Bill Mickey, managing editor of FOLIO: sister magazine Audience Development, has been promoted to executive editor of EXPO magazine. Mickey will oversee print magazine editorial management and enhancements, including an annual report ranking the top 25 shows by growth. He will continue to oversee Audience Development. Meanwhile, FOLIO: Web editor Jason Fell has been promoted to group news editor of the Red 7 Media Publishing Group, which includes FOLIO: Alert as well as daily news and newsletters for Audience Development and EXPO.
