Woman’s Day has appointed Rachel Glickman general manager of Woman’s Day Digital. Glickman has held posts at a variety companies including Lotame Solutions, Inc., Fotolog, Inc., America Online and Time Warner Global Marketing.
American Express Publishing’s Departures added three new sales positions: Mark Cooper, who most recently served as advertising director of Bon Appetit, was named vice president of advertising sales; Kathryn Banino Bano, formerly the ad director of Details, was appointed ad director; and Edward Cortese, fashion sales director of Robb Report, was named category manager.
As some had anticipated it would, Condé Nast appointed Margaret Russell has been named editor-in-chief of Architectural Digest, replacing longtime editor Paige Rense Noland, who is retiring. Most recently, Russell served as vice president and editor-in-chief of brand content at Hachette’s Elle Decor.

Larry Silvey has been named editorial director emeritus of the Advanstar Automotive Group. The group’s longtime editorial director is leaving to become the new chair of the automotive aftermarket management program at Northwood University in Midland, Michigan.
Rodale named Diane Salvatore editor-in-chief of Prevention, effective August 9. Previously, Salvatore was the editor-in-chief of Ladies’ Home Journal.
