Norm Pearlstine, who earlier this summer was replaced by Allan Murray as Time Inc.’s chief content officer, is now chief information architect at Money.net. Pearlstine will continue in his role as vice chairman at Time Inc., which he has held since July.
Money.net is a financial data subscription service set to compete with the Bloomberg Terminal. Pearlstine will oversee 75 software developers and 25 journalists who will use AI to comb the web for relevant news, according to Forbes.
Pearlstine worked as chief content officer at Bloomberg until 2013. There, he met Money.net founder Morgan Downey, who worked at Bloomberg as global head of commodities.

Bauer Media has named Philipp Meixner to the new role of chief investment officer. Meixner, who’s based in Germany, joins Bauer from a position as investment director at SevenVentures.
Condé Nast has promoted Edward Cudahy to chief technology officer, from his role as VP of engineering.
Jason Feifer was promoted to editor-in-chief of Entrepreneur magazine, from his role as executive editor. He replaces Amy Cosper, who left the brand in September.
Robin Hilmantel has returned to Rodale as site director of WomensHealthMag.com. She previously served as online deputy editor at the brand, before a short stint at Time Inc.’s Motto.
Vice Media has hired Mike Darling and Rajul Punjabi, as managing editor and wellness editor, respectively. Darling joins from his position as senior editor at Men’s Health. Punjabi joins from her role as contributing writer at The Village Voice.
Vox Media has hired Gavin Purcell to the newly created role of head of video. Purcell joins Vox from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he worked as a producer.
Jessica Coen has been named executive editor of Mashable. Previously, she worked as editor-in-chief of Vocativ
O, The Oprah Magazine has named Corrie Pikul as health editor. She joins O from her role as health and wellness editor at Self.
Emily Tamkin is joining ForeignPolicy.com as a news blogging staff writer from her position as associate editor for the weekly digital magazine at New America.
Galen Poss has joined Drake Star Partners as senior advisor. Drake Star Partners is an investment bank focusing on technology, media and communications sectors. Poss will focus on the not-for-profit, association-owned tradeshow market.
