Wenner Media has named [1] Michael Steele editor-in-chief of Us Weekly, officially replacing Janice Min, who stepped down [1] this summer. Previously, Steele served as teh magazine's acting top editor.

American Media Inc. named Philip Kearney senior vice president and general manager of digital media. For the last several years, Kearney has served as an executive consultant in the digital space, with clients from Hachette to Active Interest Media.

Celebrity journalist Jessica Callan was named news director of Bauer's Life & Style Weekly. Previously, Callan served as editor of Jam magazine and as a correspondent at the Daily Telegraph.

Time Inc. announced a number of personnel changes: Time, Fortune and Money Los Angeles  group sales director Frank Wall was named publisher of Money, replacing John Donnelly, who is returning to Fortune in a “senior sales role;” Meredith Long was named L.A. sales director for Time, Fortune and Money; and Ray Farmer was named mid-Atlantic sales manager for Time.

Asset International named Thomas Wright CFO. Most recently he served as CFO of Northstar Travel Media.

Troy McCracken was named to the advisory board of Virgo Publishing’s Phone+ magazine and the Channel Partners Conference & Expo. McCracken serves as CEO of Spectrum Inc., a telecom lifescycle management company.

PR firm the Rosen Group announced a pair of promotions: senior account executive Julia Monti was named vice president and account executive Heather Caufield was named senior account executive.

The former editor-in-chief of Giftware News magazine, John Saxtan is launching Gift & Home Interactive. The new venture [2] will be a monthly e-mail publication serving the gift and home markets.

The International Federation of the Periodical Press (FIPP) elected four new directors to its management board, including: Sanoma Magazines (the Netherlands) CEO Eija Ailasmaa; Eckart Bollmann, executive board member of Bauer Media Group (Germany); Haymarket Media Group (U.K.) deputy chairman Rupert Heseltine; and Ulrika Saxon, CEO of Bonnier Magazines and Bonnier Tidskifter (Sweden).
