
Publishing Group of America has appointed Steven B. Smith senior vice president of publisher relations. Smith most recently served as vice president of Northern California community newspapers for the California Newspapers Partnership, a joint venture of MediaNews Group, Gannett and Stephens Media.
Marie Claire named Anne Fulenwider executive editor. of the U.S. edition.Most recently, Fulenwider served as senior articles editor at Vanity Fair. Her appointement at Marie Claire is effective October 13.
Glam Media announced a number of personnel changes: Jack Rotolo was promoted from executive vice president of advertising sales to the newly-created position of president; Alison Kennedy was promoted to Eastern Region vice president of sales; and Carl Portale will lead an expanded Brand Relations group.
Stacey Levy was appointed vice president of sales of IDG’s Macworld and PC World. Levy most recently served as vice president and publishing director of Future US’s technology and living sectors.
Hearst announced several promotions: former creative director Colleen Noonan was named executive director of creative services; Kimberly Lau, who most recently served as director of business development and partnership relations, was named executive director of business development and partner relations; ex-managing editor Erin Dailey was named director of project process and business standards for the digital media division; Julie Christie, formerly a senior manager, was named director of network programming; Tammy Tibbetts, who has editorial responsibilities on a number of teen sites in the Hearst Magazines Digital Media portfolio, will join the network programming team; Nicole Stagg, who served as senior director of content and product strategy, was named executive director of GoodHousekeeping.com and RealBeauty.com; Web editor Eric Gillin was named director of Cosmopolitan.com, Esquire.com and TheDailyGreen.com; senior Web editor Ashley Parrish was named director of MarieClaire.com, Redbookmag.com, HarpersBazaar.com, TownandCountrymag.com and the Hearst Teen Network; former CosmoGirl.com senior Web editor Deanne Hess was named director of RealBeauty.com; former Seventeen.com senior Web editor Julie Hochheiser was named senior Web editor of the Hearst Teen Network; Brenda Schmerl will serve as senior Web editor for QuickandSimple.com as well as Delish.com; Andrea Lavinthal, who formerly served as Web editor for Cosmopolitan.com, has been was named senior beauty editor and has added RealBeauty.com to her responsibilities.
Rodale’s Prevention made a pair of personnel changes: former Health magazine franchise sales director and beauty director Estee Cross was appointed New York account director and Hilary Duff, who previously served as associate media director at Starcom Worldwide’s Procter & Gamble Print AOR division, was named Chicago account manager.
Alyssa Hickman was promoted to managing editor at Ancestry. Most recently, Hickman served as associate editor.
Bayard U.S. named Annie Galvin Teich vice president of business development for the Bayard Magazine Group, which publishes several religious magazines including Catholic Digest, Living with Christ, God's Word Today and Today's Parish Minister. Teich most recently led consultancy firm the Teich Group and co-founded and served as president and CEO of New Day Publishing, an early childhood publisher of Christian education materials for teachers and parents.
Magazine printer Worldcolor appointed Daniel J. Scapin president of logistics and premedia. Scapin has previously served as president of logistics at Worldcolor (formally Quebecor World), R.R. Donnelley and Moore Wallace.
