Magazine printers are adding full-service products beyond their traditional printing duties. Some recent examples include:

Brown Printing has announced a new series of ad sales tools offered through a strategic partnership with MagazineRadar. The ad sales tools offer lead qualification, account reviews, talking points, ad tearsheets and value-added services for advertisers.

Publishers Press launched a new ad portal through the SendMyAd system. Advertisers can submit and approve both print and digital materials directly to SendMyAd. The portal preflights ads and notifies advertisers of uploads and approvals via e-mail. If an ad does not preflight correctly, SendMyAd will notify the advertiser and send them instructions on how too fix the ad.

In addition, Ripon, Wisconsin-based Ripon Printers—which works with mid-size magazine publishers—purchased a manroland brand ROTOMAN “N” heatset web press, expanding its production capacity and redundancy, the company said. The ROTOMAN is a single web, four-unit, 38-inch web width press, integrated with a MAN Roland 1:2:3 combination folder.
