Design World publisher WTWH Media today said it will launch Wind Power Engineering, a multimedia product platform including a print magazine, Web site and events.
With an initial circulation of 7,500, the print magazine will take “a technical tutorial approach on the design engineering, installation and maintenance of wind-related products,” WTWH said. It will print twice in 2009 and six times in 2010.
“We believe a print magazine gives you editorial authority and compliments all the additional media channels,” WTWH co-founder Scott McCafferty told FOLIO:. “At this time, there is no print publication addressing the wind power market from a technical engineering perspective, thus we hope to fill this void.”
The Web site, windpowerengineering.com [1], will feature daily news, video, supplier innovations, policy and wind power project updates.
In addition, WTWH has partnered with Canon Communications to co-sponsor a one-day informational session called “Wind Power Explained—Design and Component Integration.” It’s set to take place September 23 at the Design and Manufacturing Midwest show in Illinois.
