Nearly two months after being promoted [0] to the top editorial slot at celebrity magazine OK!, Katie Caperton is out [1] of a job, a spokesperson told FOLIO:. No replacement has been named. An executive editorial team—mostly made up of former consultants—will manage the magazine’s “new initiatives and goals.”

It was not immediately clear if there were any additional layoffs.

In conjunction with Caperton’s departure, OK! has named Juliet Gray its East Coast executive editor and Jason Oliver Nixon creative director. The magazine also appointed Amy Connell managing editor and is expected to name more staffers soon to its New York and Los Angeles offices.

“The aim is to add individuals to the OK! team that strengthen Hollywood access and add a new perspective to the expanded offerings, emphasizing OK!'s enhanced sensibility and style,” the spokesperson said in an e-mailed statement.

Earlier this month, OK!’s London-based publisher Northern & Shell hired Gray as a consultant to advise the magazine on the business-side operations and brought on Nixon, the former editor of Niche Media’s Gotham, to advise editorial.

OK!’s ad pages are up 18 percent year-to-date, the spokesperson said, and its market share has grown more than 5 percent during the period.
