
Ned Desmond, president of Time Inc. Interactive and a 22-year veteran of Time Inc. is leaving the company as a result of Time’s recent corporate restructuring. In addition to running Time Inc. Interactive for the past six years, Desmond served as an Asian correspondent for Time, including bureau chief in New Delhi and Tokyo, and as president of Business 2.0.
Nancy Perry Graham has been promoted from deputy editor to editor of AARP the Magazine, replacing Steve Slon, who resigned [0] in July. Senior vice president and AARP Publications editor-in-chief Hugh Delehanty served as interim editor.

Author Kathie Lee Joel has been named a food columnist at Cosmopolitan. Lee, who is married to singer Billy Joel, will contribute a monthly column featuring recipes and cooking tips.

Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. has announced a pair of personnel changes: former Road & Track vice president and publisher John Driscoll has been promoted to vice president and group publisher of the company’s automotive group; and Robert Houghtlin, who served as vice president and publisher of Car and Driver, was promoted to vice president of sales for Hachette’s Jumpstart Automotive Media.
Jupitermedia president, director and COO Christopher Cardell has resigned. Cardell held those positions since the company launched in 1998. In his immediate absence, chairman and CEO Alan Meckler will also serve as president and COO.
