Western Pennsylvania-based technology trade magazine publisher Corry Publishing has changed its name to Jameson Publishing.

The name change, the publisher says, was made to avoid confusion that the company is located in Corry, Pennsylvania, where it was founded nearly three decades ago. Corry relocated about 45 minutes west to the town of Erie in the mid-1980s.

The name Jameson Publishing is in honor of James Peterson, the son of company founders Rick and Terry Peterson.

“We’ve grown to nearly 80 employees today and believe we can attract more applicants and grow even faster with a new name,” president Jim Roddy said.

Due to the expansion, Corry Publishing is moving from its 15,000 square-foot headquarters to a nearly 23,000 square foot facility, which also is located in Erie.

Corry Publishing’s portfolio includes Business Solutions, Integrated Solutions, Integrated Solutions for Retailers and techPARTNER magazines. Early next year, it plans to launch pharmaceutical and bioresearch tech title Life Science Leader.
