Ziff Davis Media has outsourced circulation for its two print titles, PC Magazine and Electronic Gaming Monthly, to consultant Charles Mast effective immediately, CM has learned.
According to a source familiar with the deal, the decision was made last week and has resulted in the elimination of several, but not all, circ-related positions at the company. The source added that Charles Mast, who previously held circulation positions at Ziff Davis Media and Alpha Media, is essentially serving as an outsourced “corporate circulation director” for the two titles.
Ziff Davis Media confirmed the deal, but declined to comment.
IDG announced earlier this week that the company outsourced circulation for PC World, Macworld and GamePro to Miami and New York-based circ services firm ProCirc.
