The Audit Bureau of Circulations [1] is preparing to relaunch its e-data center on June 9. The new section will feature enhanced search functionality and some custom report generation.
Gladys Searcy, ABC’s director of marketing and sales, says relaunching the e-data portion of the site has been in the works since the ABC site itself was re-engineered last spring. Of main concern for e-Data was providing “more valuable interaction with the data,” says Searcy.
Prior to the relaunch, visitors were forced to bounce from product to product. “The new design allows a user to create a list once and then click on product tabs and stay with their same list of publications while looking at the rest of the product data in the same session,” says Searcy.
New features include custom FAS-FAX reports, enhanced search functionality, batch report generation and other report-generation tools.
Searcy says the next phase will offer deeper data-mining capabilities. “We get a lot of request here for how many publications have digital editions, or have verified on their statement, for example. The next phase will allow customers to come in and do those kinds of reports on their own.”
