New York Times Names Style Magazine Editor
Sally Singer replaces Stefano Tonchi, who moved to W.
The New York Times has appointed longtime Vogue edit staffer Sally Singer editor of T: The New York Times Style Magazine.
At Vogue, Singer managed the magazine’s fashion news and features departments. Prior to joining Vogue in 1999, she served as fashion director at New York Magazine, style director of Elle and the commissioning editor for features at British Vogue.
“We were looking for someone with the imagination and taste to envision the next generation of this extraordinary franchise, and the experience to make it happen,” New York Times executive editor Bill Keller says in a statement announcing the hire.
At T, Singer replaces Stefano Tonchi, who left the magazine in March to lead Condé Nast’s W.
