Though not new to the company, Laura Reston has been promoted from reporter-researcher to managing editor. She previously worked at Forbes and the Boston Globe.
Siung Tjia was hired as design director. Previously he served as the creative director for Bloomberg Markets and ESPN The Magazine.
Graham Vyse is now a staff writer in the Washington bureau. He previously served as the politics editor of InsideSources.
Sarah Jones was hired as social media editor from a role at the non-profit Americans United for Separation of Church and State.
Eliza Fish is now audience and partnership manager from a fundraising and marketing role at The Baffler.
Finally, Steph Leke was hired as media relations manager from a PR role at Princeton Architectural Press.

Sam Jacobs has been promoted to executive editor of Time Digital, from his position as assistant managing editor of Time magazine. He joined the company in 2013 as senior editor of Time.com.
Bonnier has named Colin Kearns editor-in-chief of Field & Stream. He previously served as senior deputy editor at the brand, and replaces Anthony Licata, who will continue as editorial director of the Bonnier Lifestyle Group.
Stephanie Davis Smith is now editorial director of Modern Luxury Media. She replaces Beth Weitzman.
TV Guide has added Food Network host Sandra Lee as a columnist. Lee, known for her show “Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee,” published her first column this week.
Kamelia Angelova has joined Mashable as director of emerging platforms. She joins the brand from her role as supervising video producer at Business Insider and Tech Insider.
Atlantic Media has promoted two and hired one. Jessica Leigh Hester and Adam Sneed, both associate editors, have been promoted to senior associate editors at CityLab. Gracie McKenzie joins CityLab as social media editor.
