New Print Ad Portal Allows Attachment of Digital Insertion Orders

New Orleans-based Blanchard Systems has announced the launch of SendMyAd, a print advertising portal that allows advertisers and publishers to attach insertion order info to the ad materials.
The company says it is the “first end-to-end solution” for publishers. The company provides advertisers with a personalized Web site where they can submit advertising materials and collaborate with the publisher to facilitate the approval, insertion information, and final delivery of the ad materials.
"When we started building an end-to-end solution for digital submission and approval of ad materials, no one was doing anything close to this,” says CEO Charles Blanchard. “The best we saw was file upload and preflighting. There was no business automation or material workflow in these systems. We consulted with a number of major publishers for ideas.” Blanchard declined to say who those major publishers were.
According to Blanchard, the Web portal allows an advertiser take a PDF file, upload it, preview it, and generate a report about the ad. Advertisers are also able to trim the size of ads via the site to meet publisher specs.
Publishers are then able to fill AdsML-compliant job tickets that allow the tracking of an ad from the time it enters the online workflow until it is printed.
