NCI Continues Buying Spree
Real estate media company closes out 2007 with seven deals.
Real estate media company Network Communications made its seventh acquisition in the real estate publication market this year. In this latest deal, the company picks up the Fredericksburg, Virginia Apartment Finder’s Guide—the fourth deal and seventh title in the multifamily category. Combined, NCI’s seven acquisitions account for 11 new titles added to the company’s roster.
The quarterly publication will be added into NCI’s Apartment Finder group, which now serves 110 markets across the country, thanks largely to the company’s brisk pace of acquisitions and launches.
NCI has been most active in the multifamily category with the four acquisitions and seven titles. Other sector deal activity includes two in the Home Design and Improvement group (New England Home and Relocating in St. Louis) and one acquisition in the Home Resale market (Home by Design and Life by Design magazines).
Network Communications Inc. was acquired by Citigroup Venture Capital in 2005 for about $380 million.
