Mixed Results for B-to-B Circ
ABC FAS-FAX: 35 percent down in total average paid and qualified non-paid.
On the heels of the semiannual consumer magazine FAS-FAX report, ABC released the b-to-b magazine portion of the circ stats for the second half of 2007 earlier this week. Of the 125 U.S. titles tracked that actually provided numbers (out of 162), 44 showed declines in total average paid and qualified non-paid compared to same period 2006. The rest, however, showed increases in circulation.
Hardest hit among the titles is Retailing Today, which published 8 titles during the period and lost just over 21 percent of its circulation.
Among the steepest increases are PennWell’s Oil & Gas Journal, which added another 24,000 to its paid ranks; and Diabetes Vital, published by Slack Inc., which collected a remarkable 107,000 new qualified, non-paid subscribers.
By category, Advertising & Marketing saw five of its six reporting titles lose circulation. Interestingly, the Engineering & Construction category was largely blank, with most titles not filing their statements by the report’s press time.
