Kalmbach Publishing Co. has named Dan Hickey, longtime media veteran, CEO. Hickey most recently served as a digital media consultant at National Geographic. He formerly held leadership positions at Meredith Corporation, AOL, The Daily Telegraph and Tribune Publishing.
“Dan is an exceptional media executive who brings a unique blend of digital, editorial, and business expertise,” said Gerald Boettcher, chairman of the Board of Directors and lead director of the board’s search committee in a statement.
“He has a long track record of building strong media brands and digital innovation,” Boettcher adds. “He has led several media business transformations and brings a clear vision about how we will successfully evolve over the next five to 10 years. We’re excited to have him as our CEO.”

Ben Schreckinger (pictured) has been appointed GQ correspondent, where he will report on national politics. Schreckinger joins the publication from Politico, where he formerly worked as a staff writer.
Cassie Anderson has been promoted to senior fashion market editor at Harper’s Bazaar. Most recently, Anderson served as the fashion market editor at Bazaar.
Karyn Williams has been appointed editor-in-chief at Town and Style, a magazine serving the Saint Louis, Missouri community. Most recently, she served as the publication’s managing editor.
Fatherly has hired Tyghe Trimble as branded editorial director, starting this week. Most recently, Trimble served as the editorial director at Men’s Journal, where he managed special projects, interactive features and the expansion of its web team.
Glam has named Katrina Mitzeliotis managing editor. Most recently, she served as fashion director at Hollywood Life, and previously served as an online editor for Hearst Digital.
