Jack Grant, the former VP of integrated sales at HFMUS has been named publisher of Northstar Travel Media’s TravelAge West and associate publisher of Travel Weekly. The two titles had been under separate management but now will be under the same team, which Grant will lead. He will report to Bob Sullivan, EVP and group publisher of Retail Travel Network, the BTN Group and PhoCusWright. TravelAge West and Travel Weekly will continue to operate under discrete content, sales and marketing staff, but the two brands will help develop new integrated business opportunities together with combined senior level management.
Grant managed integrated sales at HFMUS before its sale to Hearst earlier this year. Earlier he worked for Gruner & Jahr USA, Hearst, NY times Magazine Group and Times Mirror Magazine Group.
The current publisher of TravelAge West, Michelle Rosenberg, has also served as the VP in charge of Northstar’s Marketing Solutions Group. With Grant’s appointment as new publisher, Rosenberg will focus her effort on the Marketing solutions Group full time.
