IAB Reports 2010 Internet Ad Revenues Up Almost 15 Percent
2010 fourth quarter revenue increases 19 Percent over 2009 Q4.
The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) shared in its 2010 full year report that annual Internet advertising revenues increased by 15 percent from 2009 to 2010, rising from $22.66 million in 2009 to $26.04 billion in 2010.
The report also shows growth from 2009’s final quarter to fourth quarter 2010, up nineteen percent from fourth quarter 2009’s $6.26 billion to 2010 fourth quarter’s $7.45 billion. There was also significant growth from the third to fourth quarter of 2010, with a 15 percent increase from $6.46 billion to $7.45 billion.
2009 saw a decrease of revenue annually compared to 2008, dropping from $23.45 billion to $22.6 billion in 2009.
2010 marks the highest annual Internet advertising revenue to date, with 2008 trailing behind with a total of $23.45 billion for its annual total.
Bob Carrigan, CEO of IDG Communications, was selected chairman of the IAB in February of this year.
