Hearst Magazines International Rounds Out Senior Management Team With Mix of Hearst, Hachette Execs
Arnaud de Puyfontaine, Jean de Boisdeffre, Lynn Heatherton round out exec moves.
Hearst has finalized its senior management team for Hearst Magazines International (HMI) with three new appointments in the wake of last week’s closing of its $919 million acquisition of Lagardere’s international publishing business.
Arnaud de Puyfontaine has been named executive vice president of Hearst Magazine International. He will continue in his role as CEO of The National Magazine Company, Hearst’s U.K. magazine extension.
Meanwhile, Jean de Boisdeffre, former CEO of Hachette’s international magazine business was named a senior consultant for Hearst under a secondment agreement with Lagardere, while Lynn Heatherton was named director of operations and special projects at HMI (she previously held a similar role with Hachette).
The senior management team for Hearst Magazines International now includes:
Simon Horner as SVP, CFO and general manager;
Kim St, Clair Bodden as SVP, editorial director;
Jeannette Chang, SVP, international publishing director;
Jay McGill; SVP, business development, Europe, Middle East and Africa;
Patrick Brennnan, VP, business development, Asia/Pacific and Latin America;
Sophia Stauart, executive director, digital media
Last week, Hearst Magazines in the U.S. announced three promotions, including former Popular Mechanics editor-in-chief James B Meigs becoming editorial director of the men’s enthusiast group; Patricia Haegele, SVP, publisher and chief revenue officer for Good Housekeeping being named publishing director and Kate Kelly Smith, VP, publisher and chief revenue officer of House Beautiful, named SVP and publishing director. Former Esquire VP/publisher Kevin O’Malley was also moved to senior VP/publisher of Elle. A successor at Esquire was not immediately named.
