Hanley Wood Acquires Two Construction Titles (posted 4/30)
Washington, D.C.-based Hanley Wood has acquired the assets of Spiderweb Publishing Inc., a Durham, North Carolina privately-owned publisher of construction magazines Eco-Structure and Metalmag, and their accompanying Web sites.
The two titles will be added to Hanley Wood’s existing Commercial Design Group, which already includes Architect, Architectural Lighting and Product Spec Guide. Eco-Structure is an 8-times per year publication serving architects, interior designers, building owners and manufacturers/suppliers working in environmental building. It has a BPA-audited circulation of 27,508. MetalMag, is also published eight-times per year and serves metal roofing and metal building contractors, roofing contractors, general contractor, architects, engineers, manufactures and building owners/developer, erectors and suppliers. Its circulation is 30,600.
Spiderweb’s staff, along with owner and publisher John Riester, will join Hanley Wood’s existing staff and continue to produce content for the magazines and online properties and will report to group publisher Patrick J. Carroll.
