Hachette Forms Photo/Electronics Group
Hachette Filipacchi Media announced Wednesday its plans to form a Photo/Electronics Group around its American Photo, Popular Photography, and Sound & Vision magazines, and its PopPhoto.com and SoundandVisionmag.com sites.
The group will have a combined audience of more than 5 million print readers (more than 725,000 circulation) and more than 1 million unique online visitors, the company says.
Through this group’s formation, HFM plans to enhance its print and online advertising packages, some to include their Premiere.com site and new shelter site PointClickHome.com. "These sites attract like-minded consumers interested in DVDs and home entertainment," Jeffrey Roberts, who will be vice president/publisher of the HFM U.S. Photo/Electronics Group, said in a statement. Roberts is currently vice president/publisher of American Photo, Popular Photography, and PopPhoto.com.
"The move is in line with our overall strategy to deliver larger aggregated audiences, specifically in-market buyers, in key segments," said HFM president and CEO Jack Kliger.
Anthony Ruotolo, currently associate publisher of Popular Photography and American Photo, has been named associate publisher of the group and will continue to report to Roberts.
