Fry Communications Builds Out Suite of Publisher Services
Printer makes two acquisitions.
In two acquisitions this month, Fry Communications, a leading publication printer, has added to the array of services it offers customers. First, the Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania bought a majority stake in Aysling Digital Media Solutions, a provider of content management, content creation and workflow-solutions.
A software reseller and integrator, Aysling deploys software products from suppliers such as WoodWing, Adobe, and Dataplan to a diverse customer set, including some of the largest publishers and marketing organizations in America. "Aysling expands the suite of technology and services Fry is able to provide its clients," said David Fry, CTO of Fry Communications. "At the same time, we’re able to provide Aysling the support it needs to strengthen and expand its professional services team."
Aysling, formerly WoodWing Solutions, was founded in Detroit, Michigan, in 2009.
Meanwhile, Henry and David Fry, the owner and CTO of Fry Communications, respectively, announced that they’ve acquired a 50-percent interest in National Publisher Services, which provides newsstand distribution and subscription marketing services to publishers. And NPS, in turn, announced that it has acquired the circulation-outsource firm Circulation Specialists.
