Downtown Media Buys Inked (posted 1/30)
Downtown Media has agreed to purchase Inked Production’s Inked magazine, an upscale quarterly lifestyle and fashion magazine focusing on "high-end" body art, music, entertainment, style and culture. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Downtown Media plans to combine the production and sales areas of Inked with that of its other magazine, TOKION, a global art and pop culture publication that Downtown purchased last year. Combining the sales function of Inked and TOKION’s publications and Web sites will allow advertisers to purchase group buys to more efficiently reach the "downtown" market, the company said in a statement.
