Mygazines Launches Geo Targeted Editions
Mygazines has launched Geo Targeted Campaigns, which distributes tailored versions of a publication by region. The service enables local editions to be distributed to more than 200 countries and thousands of specific cities. Users receive a dedicated URL and a targeted version of the publication will download according to their geographic area.
Mygazines also announced "Packs," a new flexible pricing structure that lets professionals, publishers and corporations create mobile publications with multimedia and analytics starting at $199 per month.
iPad Roundup: PageSuite Powers OK; MotorTrend Debuts
OK Magazine’s British edition has launched an iPad app produced by mobile app developer PageSuite. The app is available on iTunes for about $3.70 and offers unlimited access to the latest issue, back issues, and live breaking stories. Readers can renew for a month (four editions) for about $13.99, three months (13 editions) for around $40, and six months (26 editions) for about $77.80. One day after launch, the OK app was already ranked fourth on the UK-paid-for-news app chart.
Meanwhile, MotorTrend has launched its own iPad app with the January "Car of the Year issue." The Motor Trend app is currently available in the app store for $3.99 and features integrated video, audio commentary from the editorial staff and ways to compare data in head-to-head tests.
