Dan Lagani is Glam Media’s New CRO and President
The media vet shifts from print and digital to a pure-play vertical.
Glam Media hired veteran media executive Dan Lagani as the digital women’s fashion and lifestyle company’s new chief revenue officer and president.
“My experience working with top media brands across traditional and digital media has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of both scale and targeted high quality content,” Lagani says in a statement, “two things Glam Media manages extremely well.”
Most recently, Lagani served as president, North America for Reader’s Digest Association, a role he held from 2011 to 2012. Previously, he was group publisher of Condé Nast Bridal Group, publisher at Meredith for titles including Better Homes & Gardens and Ladies’ Home Journal and publisher of George Magazine.
In his new role Lagani will be responsible for all revenue, brand category development, media agency relations, strategic sales, brand strategy and client services, advertiser solutions and sales operations and report directly to Glam Media’s Chairman and CEO Samir Arora.
“Dan is a well-known sales leader with strong relationships with brand advertisers in the categories that are most relevant for Glam Media,” Arora says in a release. “He has had significant operating responsibility in several executive roles and is highly skilled at developing strategic long-term marketing solutions for brands.”
In a familial coincidence, Lagani’s title and role at Glam Media equal the title and role of his brother Joe Lagani, CRO at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
