Custom Publisher Purchases Music Row
No layoffs expected in SouthComm Communications acquisition.
Recently-formed Nashville, Tennessee-based custom publishing company SouthComm Communications has acquired Music Row magazine. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to Music Row CEO and publisher David Ross, the acquisition is “a great fit” and “means Music Row will benefit with added resources, efficiencies of scale and corss marketing opportunities. SouthComm also provides added conduits for music industry new to reach a wider network of Nashville business leaders and bolster the process of uniting Nashville’s music and business communities.”
Ross will remain with the magazine and serve also as SouthComm vice president and board member. No job cuts are expected as part of the deal.
Music Row was launched in 1981 and publishes six times per year. SouthComm, which was founded in 2007, publishes the Nashville Post newspaper and SouthComm Publishing.
