Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy Added To MediaMashup Keynote Lineup
Governor to discuss leadership in the digital age and building an ideas economy.
It’s not every day that a U.S. governor stops by to share ideas with you. Next week, however, FOLIO: and min will give you that exact opportunity—Connecticut Governor Dan Malloy has been added to the MediaMashup show keynote lineup and his address, "Leadership in the Digital Age—Building an Ideas Economy," will shed unique and interesting insights on the intersection of media and government.
Since taking office in 2011, Governor Malloy (pictured) has launched a series of initiatives targeted at supporting growth industries, including digital media. Early this year, for example, the Governor announced a new initiative called “Next Generation Connecticut.” Part of the plan calls for creating the first ever digital-media department at the UCONN Stamford campus.
Governor Malloy has been the driving force in connecting entrepreneurs—including those in digital media—with venture capital. Attendees can listen in as Malloy discusses the establishment of an "Ideas Economy" designed for a new world of media.
But the governor is just one of the many exciting speakers set to hit the stage at the MediaMashup show on April 16. From Matt Marshall, founder and editor-in-chief of VentureBeat to Meredith Levien, chief revenue officer of Forbes Media—this can’t miss conference designed to propel your brand into the future is selling out fast.
